Music has always been a part of my life. My father's love of music was passed down to me, and I can still remember the first album he ever recorded for me on cassette tape. I must have been about five years old at the time, and my mother had just bought my brother and me each a Sony Walkman. We were going on vacation, and she obviously wanted us to be occupied on the plane ride. This must have been around 1993, so the Sony Walkman was the height of technology!

One night, my dad sat my brother and me down and let us each choose an album from his collection. I was drawn to the album cover of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon," so that's the one I picked. The next morning, I came downstairs to find the tape sitting on my dad's Hi-Fi stack, ready for our trip.

I listened to that album over and over again on our vacation. It was my first real introduction to classic rock, and it blew my mind. I loved the way the music sounded on the cassette tape, and I was fascinated by the album cover. It was like I was transported to another world every time I put the headphones on.

That cassette tape pendant is a throwback to those simpler, more analog days. It's a perfect way to show your love of music and not forget the old ways.
