The Camera Pendant

I've always been a bit of a nerd. I love photography, video games, and all things sci-fi. So when I had the opportunity to participate in Imgur's Secret Santa event, I knew I had to make something special for my giftee.

I decided to make a pendant based on her hobby, photography, and I was so happy with how it turned out. She loved it, and so did everyone else on Imgur. That's when I had the idea to start my own business making jewellery for the more nerdy inclined.

I called my business The Nerdsmith, a play on words that the trade i was trained in was jewellery and silversmithing, and I set out to create fun and playful jewellery that reflected the wearer's personality. But I also wanted the packaging to be unique and different to everything else on the market.

That's when I had the idea to base the packaging on old blister toy packaging. I thought it would be a fun way to evoke those youthful fun memories.

I'm so proud of what I've created with The Nerdsmith. I hope that my jewellery will bring a smile to people's faces and remind them of their inner nerd.
